IMANI RESTORATION CENTER CHURCH
Restoring Godliness through God's Word and Holy Living
The Church and Her Mission
The church
The church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer, Born of the spirit is an integral part of the church of God, which is written in heaven (Ephesians 1:22:23 Hebrews 12:23) Since God purpose concerning man is to seek and save that which was lost (Luke 19:10), to be worshiped by man (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14), and to build a body of believers in the image of His Son Jesus Christ, then we as a body of believers (IMANI RESTORATION CENTER CHURCH) called by the Lord Jesus Christ the son of the most high God and joined together by our faith in Him exist;
-
To be agency of God for evangelizing the world (Act 1:18; Matthew 28:19)
-
To be a corporate body in which man may worship God (1Corinthians 12:13)
-
To be a channel of God’s purpose to build the body of saints being prepared in the image of His Son (Ephesians 4:11-16; 1Corinthians 12:18; 14:12)
-
To minister to the needs of the saints (both physical and spiritual) as the Lord’s grace will enable us.
-
To support and stand with each other at all times (times of joy and sadness)
-
To support missions here in the United States, Africa and other parts of the world as the Lord will direct us.
How do we do these things?
-
By committing ourselves, as individuals and as a corporate body of believers to regularly attend the services and other church meetings (Hebrews 10:25).
-
By committing ourselves to personal and corporate prayers as a way of continually communicating with God (1Thessalonians 5:16-24)
-
By committing ourselves to giving to the work of God in the church (IMANI RESTORATION CENTER CHURCH).
-
By being good ambassadors of the church by the way we live and relate with others. That is, living a life that portray Christ among those we encounter in our day-to-day life (Philippians 1:27-30).
-
By putting aside all forms of sins and focusing on Christ and striving to live a Holy life by the grace of God. (Hebrews 12:1-2)
